Our highly experienced team will help you organize the wake at our beautiful venue in Livingston and will arrange a funeral reception, managing caterers, florists, room layouts and everything else involved with a gathering of this nature.

Beecraigs Country Park

Beecraigs Country Park is a lovely place to visit and offers a wide range of leisure activities in a natural setting across over 900 acres, tucked away high in the Bathgate Hills close to the historic town of Linlithgow.

See the Red Deer herd or pop into the Visitor Centre for more information or have a browse around the Farm Shop.

Beecraigs Country Park is less than a 20 minute drive from the hotel.

Almond Valley

Set along a woodland and riverside, there’s plenty to see and do at Almond Valley.

Visit their friendly farm animals and a range of pets and chickens that are used to being handled regularly.

Across the river, there are trampolines, pedal carts and plenty of outdoor play areas.

Almond Valley is less than a 10 minute drive from Mercure Livingston Hotel.

Five Sisters Zoo

Five Sisters Zoo is the most visited wildlife attraction in West Lothian, with an exciting collection of over 180 different species of mammals, birds and reptiles from across the globe.

The zoo have become a home to three bears and four lions following from their previous lives performing in travelling circuses, see how they settling in at their new surroundings.

Five Sisters Zoo is a 10 minute car journey from the hotel.

Wedding Showcase Days

We have plenty of images of the hotel, but nothing beats actually seeing it decked out ready for a wedding!

Enjoy a relaxed opportunity to look around the hotel and its grounds, speak to one of our wedding team about your plans and try some tasty canapés!

Expect free entry, a welcome drink with sample canapes, a selection of decorated tables for ideas and inspiration, a chance to discuss your plans with the hotel team and a free tote bag of goodies!

There is no need to book but there is something you’d like to see or sample let us know and we’ll do our utmost to accommodate.
